Broken Vessels' First Annual Homecoming was held in Chatom, AL May 7, 2011 and Carthage, TX June 4, 2011.
Homecoming was held in Chatom, AL and Carthage, TX because Scott was raised in Chatom, and Lisa in Carthage. The same lineup of talent was at both events, with some suprise guests added. The Weston Hinson Group, William Boyd Chisum, Jimmy & Debbie Roberts, and Steve Roberson were the featured guests at Homecoming 2011. Each group did a magnificent job at both events.
Paul McVay was our guest Emcee, and Chris Morris blessed the audience with a few songs at the Chatom Homecoming. Also, there were some fantastic musicians there: Tim Roberts, Don Welborn, Stoney Barbee, Gary Moore, and Robby Smith. New Life Fellowship Church was the host church.
Northside Christian Center was host for the Texas Homecoming. A group from the Carthage area, Blessed Country Praise, were special guests. "Uncle" Randy Ortigo played Steel and Lead Guitar throughout the night. Lewis Anderson also made a guest appearance during the finale of the night.
We would like to thank Pastors Danny Wilson and Aaron Bequette for hosting Homecoming 2011. Everyone in the host churches went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a succesful night. New Life Fellowship and Northside Christian Center Youth groups worked the concessions. The proceeds went to projects that they are currently working on. Thank You to everyone who purchased something from these Youth groups. Also Thank You to Mr. Jerry Hanszen (KGAS 104.3FM) for the great radio interview.
